Join us on our Walk Ten event in East Lothian and help us light up the night.

Bring along your picnic blanket and settle down after your 10k walk with some food and fizz (or a thermos of something hot) and at 10pm we'll gather and mark the start of the next Marie Curie Nursing shift.

It's your chance to enjoy the last of the great British summer evenings with LIVE entertainment, whilst raising money for your local Marie Curie Nurses.

And no need to worry about getting home...we are providing a free bus service to and from the event with buses leaving from Edinburgh (via Portobello and Musselburgh), North Berwick and Haddington.

This fantastic evening will start and finish at the ancient and historic village of Athelstaneford, legendary birthplace of the Saltire. The circular route follows an established footpath over rolling farmland boasting panoramic views of beautiful East Lothian from the Hopetoun Monument to Berwick Law and Bass Rock all the way round to the Pentlands. Upon return to Athelstaneford, there will be music and celebration to round off a most memorable event.

We ask all adults to pay a £10 registration fee and aim to raise £100. One hour of nursing care costs £20, so your £100 of fundraising will help us to provide five hours of care, support and relief to patients and their families.
